Dyslexia has had many changes over the last four to six years. This summer TxSP completed another update that aligns with all the latest changes. This section should be viewed by special education, 504, and others involved in identifying and implementing the Dyslexia Program across your District. TxSP has four filing drawers in our Dyslexia filing cabinet.
District Leadership: This filing cabinet focuses on the district’s responsibilities and the remaining 504 considerations.
Individual Considerations: This section takes the district through the referral process, assessment, data review and evaluation, and individual eligibility meetings for dyslexia instruction.
Required Universal Screeners: The protocol in this section covers the procedures and processes for dyslexia screening. It also provides a document for recording the assessment results and a letter to send home to parents notifying them of the results.
Accommodations: Two resources are provided for accommodations for dyslexia and dysgraphia. These accommodations can help develop MTSS tier strategies/interventions and 504 accommodations.
We understand how busy districts are at the beginning of their budget cycles. TxSP likes to provide support to ensure payments are made on time. We will be modifying our billing process with a tighter timeline.
1. Invoices are sent each school year on July 1 and September 1 through our billing system. Payment is due 30 days after the invoice is sent on the first of the month.
2. If the invoice has not been viewed through our billing system within one to two weeks, a separate email will be sent with a hard copy of the invoice attached to ensure the previous billing statement did not go in a trash folder.
3. A notification of past due will be sent to the district after the payment is due but has not been received.
Some of our districts have moved to ACH payments. This has been helpful as we have several checks mailed to us every year, but they never make it to our mailbox. TxSP is set up to take ACH deposits. If you have any questions, please email our CFO, rclaypool@txschoolprocedures.com.

Several new and returning subscribers are taking advantage of our complimentary onboarding sessions. We have already completed and/or scheduled 26 sessions for the 24-25 school year.
